FOUNDERS
Stuart Svenson
Stuart is the son of a Panamanian mother and a US-born father. He grew up between New Orleans and Panama, majored in Latin American Studies at Tulane University, and later earned a Master’s of Arts degree in Comparative Culture at Sophia University, in Tokyo. He went on to live and work in Barcelona before returning to Panama in the 1990s, where he founded Proserv S.A., the country’s first foodservice distribution company. Stuart’s entry into film-making came through the food business and led him into a whole new world of documentary production, screenwriting, directing and even narrating. He brings to D&G Productions the strategic direction he has used over the years to make his foodservice business a success.
Nanette Archer Svenson
Nanette is a Californian who met and married Stuart in Tokyo and has now lived more years in Panama than anywhere else. She completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University, received an MBA from IESE in Barcelona, and earned her PhD in International Development from Tulane University. For the past two decades she has worked with the United Nations and other international organizations, universities, and governments to promote education and sustainable development. Nanette has published a number of books, chapters, articles and reports. She brings to D&G Productions the rigorous research component.

José Guardia Davis
JG Post
José is the founder and inspiration behind JG Post. An experienced video producer, he holds a degree in advertising and marketing from the Universidad Latina in Panama and has worked since 2002 as an audiovisual post-producer in charge of editing, animation and special effects. Originally focusing on advertising projects, he migrated toward film in 2014 working as a digital imaging technician and editing assistant. José now runs JG Post and manages editing, color, design, and post-production work flows for D&G Productions.
Shadi Abu Diab
121 One to One
Shadi is the founder and managing director of 121® One to One, Business & Marketing Consultants. A seasoned professional with a demonstrated history of working in business development and marketing, he is a skilled communicator, negotiator and strategist. Shadi lends his diverse marketing toolkit, multiple languages, and multi-cultural perspective and experience to D&G Productions for designing our documentaries’ strategic multi-media communications and content.
